Sign ups are now open for Season 2 of the Wave Italy Apex Racing League Prototype Championship!!

This series features the Porsche 919 and Audi R18 P1 cars along with the Dallara P217. We will be visiting 9 classic venues in Europe, North America and Japan; largely matching the European Sprint Series schedules. Each meeting will consist of a 60 minute race, meaning pitstops will be necessary for everyone. All drivers will have a title to fight for, with an amateur and teams championship to be decided in both classes.

We are delighted Wave Italy have chosen the ARL Prototype Championship as their first ever title sponsorship of an iRacing series! They will be providing one set of their high end Impetus range of pedals for the LMP1 PRO Championship Winner and a 1/2 day professional coaching at the Wave Italy Professional Training Center in Verona for the LMP2 PRO Championship Winner!

Wave Italy’s Mission is to offer the best experience in driving simulation to an ever broader audience, with the aim of conveying the thrill of a real race to passionate and professionals of eSport and Sim Racing. They offer extremely high performance and realistic devices, also suitable for corporate or private events.

The rest of the PRO podium, AM and Teams Championships will again be well looked after by Apex Racing Academy with a large bump to the prize pool to a total of over £1400 worth of prizes in subscriptions providing 1:1 Coaching, Data Packs for over 30 cars, access to Overlay and Live Timing software from SDK Gaming etc! Don’t forget about trophies for the winner in each drivers championship.

In a fantastic season 1, Alex Salmon took the LMP1 PRO Championship for OCM Racing and Mateusz Drozda the LMP1 AM Championship for JDM Red. Whilst in LMP2 Jakub Wyderka pipped his teammates for the PRO Championship and Tim Perry took the AM honours!

With 2 car classes (LMP1 and LMP2) and 2 driver classes (PRO and AM) there will be some great competition for everyone no matter your ability.

The 9 round season will run each Friday at 19:10 GMT (with 2 break weeks) visiting some of the worlds greatest circuits.  Check out the full schedule below!
