The Apex Racing League Mazda Cup returns on the 31st of May! Featuring the Global Mazda MX5 Cup car once again, the new season will run across 8 meetings, each consisting of three 15 minute races.
Season one of this championship produced fanatic racing throughout, as expected in one of the best sports cars in the world. The short races and large reverse grids make for some intense action, that is great to watch on Apex Racing TV. We are excited to expand our track selection this season, with us heading not only to free content circuits, but some of the best tracks on iRacing, such as Road America, Road Atlanta and Watkins Glen.
The series is accessible to everyone, with fixed setups being used and an amateur drivers championship to be fought, meaning everyone can fight for the prizes worth almost £900.00 in value, including trophies and subscriptions to SDK Gaming and Apex Racing Academy.
The Mazda MX5 Global Cup car is the starting car for all iRacing road members as a low powered vehicle to teach the basics in car control. However, the sports car is one of the best cars to battle in, with side by side action possible at every turn and a relatively even playing field due to the simplicity of the machine. Despite being at home on tight circuits, visiting venues such Road America and Watkins Glen will enable thrilling draft races that will only be decided once the chequered flag falls.
This series is open to anyone, from rookies to veterans. Whilst measures have been made to make it accessible for new drivers, experienced racers will not find a better arena to have action packed racing and exhibit their race craft skills.
