ARA Porsche Cup S7
One of ARL’s most popular series returns! Season 7 of the Apex Racing Academy Porsche Cup starts on the 17th of March for an 8 round championship
The broadcast production steps up a level this season as every round is streamed from the ARTV Esports Studio delivering coverage at a level unmatched by any other iRacing broadcaster. All drivers receive a 1 month Bronze ARA subscription as part of their entry fee. This provides setups and coaching from some of the best drivers on the service. To maximise the use of this, all rounds follow the iRacing Porsche Cup official series schedule. This season we have an exceptional roster of circuits with the common favourites of Spa, Monza and Sebring, the national circuits of VIR and Brands Hatch and the wildcard rounds of Le Mans and the Nordschleife
Friday evenings are this season’s host, with qualifying commencing at 20:30 GMT for rounds 1 and 2 and 19:30 GMT for rounds 3 to 8. This provides enough time for competitors to become familiar with each circuit during the first few days of the official series week. The season finale at the Nordschleife is only a day prior to the track’s 24 hour special event, providing a great chance to practise essential racecraft
Our elimination heat format returns for season 7 in response to the phenomenal turn out in season 6. By splitting the field into 2 heats, followed by a B and A final, the maximum number of drivers on track is limited to 30, promoting much cleaner racing. For the first time, hour-long races also feature, requiring drivers to make pit stops due to the 60% fuel tank capacity limit
Over £1,100 worth of prizes in the form of SDK Gaming and ARA subscriptions are up for grabs for the top drivers in each of the pro, pro am and am championships as well as the teams. Each driver champion also gets their hands on a trophy!
