ARL NASCAR B Class Championship
Apex Racing League is back on ovals! There is a change of cars though for this season… with the NASCAR Xfinity cars being used for the first time!
Once again on Thursday nights, the series contains 8 rounds in 8 weeks, using the Chevrolet Camaro, Ford Mustang and Toyota Supra. Fixed setups are used, so this series is accessible to anyone with a D class oval license or better. All rounds are broadcast live on Apex Racing TV, using their terrific NASCAR style overlay.
These second division NASCAR stock cars weigh about 1.5 tonnes and possess 650hp, enabling them to reach a top speed just shy of 400kph (246mph). The mixture of short, intermediate and speedway ovals along with the legendary Watkins Glen track are sure to test every element of these machines.
All drivers have a title to fight for, with the amateur driver and overall team championships to be decided along with the overall drivers championship. A variety of SDK and VRS subscriptions along with trophies are on offer for the top runners in every championship in a £1000 prize pool.
Each race length is approximately 125 miles, with a few exceptions to keep the races approximately an hour long. Although with full course cautions and green and white chequers in effect, the 80 minute time limit may be required at particularly lively events!
