Delta Sim-Tech ARL Endurance 2025
Get your teammates ready – ARL Endurance is back for the 2025 season – this season sponsored by Delta Sim-Tech! The first of our series to feature the Ferrari 499P, the 6 rounds once again feature GTP, LMP2 and GTD classes competing in 3 hour long events, beginning on Thursday the 23rd of January!
We have a mega prize pool on offer once again this season. As well as £1,500 of prize money, £1,200 worth of Apex Racing Academy subscriptions and trophies, Delta Sim-Tech are also giving away 10 of their DU-5 Digital Display Units (each worth £290)!
4 circuits make their Endurance debut this season. Fuji, Imola and Interlagos are no strangers to these cars, each currently hosting a round of the World Endurance Championship. Barcelona, also makes it’s first appearance, somewhere that will test tyre life with high loads being exerted on all four corners of the car (we’re using the Historic layout obviously). The IMSA regulars of Road America and Sebring also feature, the latter taking place just a couple of days before iRacing’s Sebring 12 Hours.
Rain is once again a threat at every round. Conditions are generated by iRacing, taking into consideration the location of the circuit and the time of year. Last season we escaped the wet weather at 5 of the rounds but had more than a season’s worth of precipitation at a rain-soaked Suzuka. Drivers are notified in the week leading up the race what the forecast is ensuring they are able to practice in the likely (but not certain) conditions.
Each race lasts 3 hours, starting at 19:10 GMT and finishing at 22:10 GMT. This is preceded by a 30 minute qualifying, the first 10 minutes for the GTDs, the second 10 minutes for the LMP2s and the final 10 minutes for the GTPs.
GTP fuel tank capacity has been further restricted to 80% for this season in order to force drivers to make 4 pitstops – whether teams pursue 4 equally long stints or 3 full stints and a splash could be important when to claim clean air and maximise their race time. The same conundrum will be posed to the LMP2s, with their lack of tank restrictions also meaning their stints will last around 40 minutes. GTDs are limited to 90% fuel tank capacity, forcing them to make 3 pitstops.
Stewards who have competed in some of the biggest simracing competitions review incidents during the races, distributing stop and holds, drive throughs or post race time penalties for anyone who is found at fault for a protested incident.
Every round of the series is broadcast on Apex Racing TV’s YouTube channel live from the Apex Racing Esports Studio by Sam Fitzpatrick and David Sampson (Sampsoid). They will be covering qualifying and the race with their SDK Gaming overlay and live timing, 3D track maps and host interviews with drivers post race.
Drivers just need a sports car or formula license with an iRating above 1400 to take part in the series – if you and your teammates fulfil this criteria and want to race in one of the best endurance series on iRacing, register using the links below!
