ARA F3 VRS Super Series

The ARA F3 VRS super series is back! Season 6 features 9 meetings, running from March to May. There are new race formats for this season and every round is broadcast on Apex Racing TV!

Different to previous seasons there will be three driver categories with the establishment of a pro am class. This will mean more drivers than ever are eligible for a driver’s championship and prizes (including ARA and SDK subscriptions along with trophies). Just like the previous 5 seasons, the series is held on Saturday European evenings, although everyone from around the globe are welcome to join! 

To deal with the large grids for the series, a heat racing format will be used at most rounds, meaning 4 races will occur at each event, two heats, a B and an A final. For the later rounds, the exciting double and triple race formats will be used, with reverse grids of 6, 8 or 10 places mixing up the starting order for some of them.

As per all Apex Racing Academy series, each driver gets a free one month ARA subscription to gain access to data packs for the Dallara Formula 3 car, designed by 2021 Force Dynamics Dallara iRacing Grand Prix Champion, Peter Berryman. Each round matches with the F3 official series schedule, so the ARA datapacks are particularly useful as every round of the season is covered. This series is open set up however, soyou are welcome to make some tweaks or use completely different set ups.

The 550kg Dallara F3 has established itself as the most popular single seater in iRacing over the past couple of years. Still used in various real life championships, this 220hp single seater is able to carry an exceptional amount of cornering speed and can reach 170mph on the straights. iRacing have done a great job of accurately modelling this machine’s raceability, with overtaking being possible, but by no means easy.
