The Porsche 911 Cup car has become one of the most formidable machines on iRacing since its debut in 2017. Since 2019, the legendary sports car has starred in the Porsche Tag Heuer eSports Super Cup, the most competitive road series on iRacing.
After a couple of great seasons, it returns to Apex Racing League for a third season, lasting 9 meetings. Drivers will gain access to the Apex Racing Academy for the season, having access to setups developed by Multiple PESC Race Winner, Kevin Ellis Jr, one of the best drivers on iRacing.
We are excited to use a new race format this season. At selected rounds, we will adopt a heat racing elimination format, whereby drivers qualify for the feature race by finishing high enough in their heat and consolation races. We expect this to improve the quality of racing at some of the incident-prone circuits that we visit and create some nail biting races. At other, more expansive circuits, we will continue to use the 20 and 30 minute races, with a reverse grid, that enable a shake up to the pecking order.
