One of iRacing’s most competitive Porsche Cup leagues is back for season 13. ARA Porsche Cup starts on the 1st of May for a 7 round season, featuring our elimination heat format and endurance races, all of which broadcast from the Apex Racing TV Esports Studio!
Most rounds feature our elimination heat format. These consist of 2 heats with half the drivers in each, followed by a B final for those who fail to finish in the top 12 in their heat. The A final is for the top 12 from each heat as well as the top 6 from the B final. There are 3 driver divisions in the series, however points are awarded for a driver’s overall position, meaning every place counts!
To help drivers prepare for races, we follow the official series schedule. While the final few rounds are unconfirmed due to them being hosted in iRacing’s 2025 season 3, we do know the opening round will be held at the legendary Spa circuit with the series staying in Europe for round 2 at Red Bull Ring. Interlagos hosts round 3 with the first of the single 60 minute races taking place at Monza for round 5. While we copy the circuits from the officials we don’t copy the weather, so rain is a possibility at each round, although drivers are given a forecast a week beforehand.
In season 12, Dalton Zavadil became the first 2 time pro champion in ARA Porsche Cup history, scoring 3 perfect rounds along with 3 further overall podiums. Miroslav Svoboda dominated the pro ams, achieving strong results in every round of the championship. Helder Cerqueira survived a nervy season finale to win the ams. Walk Racing Federation didn’t claim a drivers title but did clinch the teams.
To help everyone get up to pace in the car, drivers receive a free 1 month subscription to Apex Racing Academy when they register for the series gaining access to setups and datapacks from PESC race winner and former driver in the series, Luke McKeown. As is the case for every ARL series, stewards review incidents post race to ensure unfair driving standards are penalised. Every round of the series is broadcast from the Apex Racing TV Esports Studio using the SDK Gaming overlay and live timing, 3D track maps and post race interviews.
New for this season, the top 3 in the championship all get trophies! £650 worth of ARA subscriptions are also on offer to the top drivers and teams with each division champion receiving a 1 year silver sub!
As long as you have a D class sports cars or formula license, you can register to the series. So get your name down now to get a place on the grid!
