The Apex Racing League GT Trophy is back! GT3 cars will make their return in 9 one hour events! The series will launch on Tuesday the 18th of May, concluding on the 27th of July.
Following the tracks run in the IMSA Hagerty iRacing series, IMSA Michelin Pilot series and VRS GT Sprint series, we will be racing at many iconic circuits. Each meeting will consist of a 60 minute race, heavily restricted on fuel making a pit stop necessary.
All drivers will have a title to fight for, with an AM and Teams championship to be decided along with the PRO championship. The top drivers and teams from each championship will receive a total of £900 in SDK Gaming and Apex Racing Academy subscriptions. Trophies will be awarded to the top drivers in each drivers championship as well!
In the GT3 class, the Audi R8, BMW M4, Ferrari 488 and Lamborghini Huracan cars will be available to race.
Races will be on Tuesday evenings for Europeans, with a two hour practice preceding a 10 minute qualifying. Qualifying, the race and driver interviews will be broadcast by Apex Racing TV on YouTube. Every round will have a post race steward investigating incidents reported by drivers, giving out a mixture of qualifying bans and penalty points
Gaetan Anger was able to beat a highly competitive GT3 field in season 1 of the championship, coming out on top with an astonishing 6 wins from 7 rounds.
