ARL GT3 Trophy
The series is our first to visit Mugello. One of the highlights of the MotoGP calendar, the track has increased in popularity amongst car enthusiasts in recent times, aided by the one-off 2020 Tuscan Grand Prix. The classic venues of Spa, Suzuka, Bathurst and Sebring return whilst VIR, Aragon and Montreal make rare, but welcome appearances.
The race formats are the same as season 6. Qualifying will once again last half an hour, with the 3 driver classes (pro, pro am and am) being allotted 10 minutes of track time each. 7 of the 12 rounds feature a single 60 minute race; Daytona and Bathurst have extended 75 minute races (as their respective iRacing special events are held the day after each); while the remaining 3 rounds include 2 races, the second having a reverse grid.
Antonino Sammarco stormed to the season 6 title after an impressive 4 consecutive wins to open the season. Single-seater-specialist Alexander Skaret was able to convert his talent into GT cars by clinching the pro am title, with Fendi Racing Team driver Dávid Végh winning a first ARL title in the ams. CoRe SimRacing returned to the summit of the teams championship, fighting off a strong challenge from IGL Coatings E-Racing.
Every round of the season is broadcast from the Apex Racing TV Esports Studio, delivering the highest quality production of any series on iRacing. ARTV regular, Sam Fitzpatrick returns, this time joined by David Sampson (Sampsoid) to discuss the action. £650 worth of Apex Racing Academy subscriptions are up for grabs in the drivers and teams championships with each driver champion also receiving a trophy!
