ARA Sebring 2.4 Hours

Our second 2.4 hour race of the season is hosted at Sebring, just days before iRacing’s Sebring 12 Hours! Featuring all the IMSA cars and being free to enter, the event is perfect practice for one of the biggest special events of the year. All the action is covered from Apex Racing TV’s Esports Studio!

Hosted on Thursday the 20th of March from 19:00 GMT, the race has similar weather to what is forecast for the 12 hours. Drivers get a 10 minute solo qualifying session before the race to set the grid and have no fast repairs at their disposal once the green flag falls. Live stewards review incidents during the race, distributing stop and holds, drive throughs or post race time penalties for anyone who is found at fault for an incident. This is a solo driver event, not a team race.

If more than 18 drivers qualify for a car class, pre-qualifying may be used to decide the grid for the broadcast top split. If there are enough entries, a second or even third split will be hosted as well.

Apex Racing Academy are sponsoring the event. They will be giving away free setups and track guides for the GTD cars in Sebring 12 Hours. LMP2 and GTP cars will also have datapacks created delivering setups designed especially for the extended stints for the race.

Apex Racing TV are streaming the top split race from their Esports Studio live on their YouTube channel, with Sam Fitzpatrick and David Sampson (Sampsoid) presenting the action with their SDK Gaming overlay and live timing, 3D track maps. Interviews with the drivers are hosted post race.

Our Roar Before the 24 event earlier in the year proved to be a challenge for our drivers with a damp track never quite becoming saturated enough for wet tyres, forcing the drivers to take care of the white lines and braking zones. Lukas Finke came out on top in the GTPs with Dominik Khoroshavin and Steven Zecher winning the LMP2s and GTDs respectively.

Apex Racing League is a very competitive league where a driver's skills are put to the test. The racing is also particularly fair. I personally had a lot of fun racing here against great opponents

Philipp KraftEndurance and Prototype Driver

A very well run league where you can compete against some of the best drivers on the iRacing service and have some fun while developing your skills. I would highly recommend to anyone

The capabilities of all teams across the different classes contributed to a great multi-class environment.
It was a strong competition with solid regulations, which made the racing both competitive and enjoyable. The stewards also did an excellent job.
