2 – Format

2.1 – Practice Race

     2.1.1 – Day prior to each race meeting

     2.1.2 – Same starting conditions as the race session

     2.1.3 – 120 minute practice

     2.1.4 – 10 minute qualifying 

     2.1.5 – 20 minute race

 

2.2 – Practice

     2.2.1 – 100 minutes

     2.2.2 – 30% track usage

     2.2.3 – In sim date and time based on section 7 of the rules

 

2.3 – Qualifying

     2.3.1 – 22 minutes

     2.3.2 – iRacing open qualifying (all cars on track at the same time)

     2.3.3 – Strict qualifying scrutiny

     2.3.4 – Drivers will be given a 10 minute slot based on their driver class (12 minutes for the last group). Ams go out first with pros going last

     2.3.5 – Drivers must not leave their pitbox before their slot starts

     2.3.6 – Drivers may complete the flying lap they’re on even if their slot ends during it

     2.3.7 – Anyone attempting to gain an advantage by being on circuit outside of their slot will receive a penalty

 

2.4 – Format A

     2.4.1 – Heat 1

          2.4.1.1 – 10 minutes

          2.4.1.2 – Only drivers who qualified in odd positions are eligible (1, 3, 5, 17, etc)

          2.4.1.3 – Grid ordered by qualifying time

     2.4.2 – Heat 2

         2.4.2.1 – 10 minutes

         2.4.2.2 – Only drivers who qualified in even positions are eligible (2, 4, 6, 18, etc)

         2.4.2.3 – Grid ordered by qualifying time

     2.4.3 – B Final

          2.4.3.1 – 14 minutes

          2.4.3.2 – Only drivers who finished below a certain position in their heat will be eligible (this position will be decided based on the expecting number of entries for each round)

          2.4.3.3 – Grid ordered by the heat results

     2.4.4 – Warm-Up

          2.4.4.1 – 3 minutes in length

     2.4.5 – A Final

          2.4.5.1 – 18 minutes

          2.4.5.2 – Drivers who finished better than a certain position in their heat and better than a certain number in the B Final are eligible (these positions will be decided based on the expecting number of entries for each round)

          2.4.5.3 – Grid ordered by the heat results and B final results

 

2.5 – B Race Format (this will be used if series organisers believe entries have fallen too low for format A to be effective)

          2.5.1 – Race 1

                    2.5.1.1 – 25 minutes

                    2.5.1.2 – Grid ordered by qualifying time

                    2.5.1.3 – Fuel tank capacity is not limited

                    2.5.1.4 – B points system

          2.5.2 – Warm Up

                    2.5.2.1 – 3 minutes

          2.5.3 – Race 2

                    2.5.3.1 – 30 minutes

                    2.5.3.2 – Grid ordered by race 1’s results with the top 10 inverted (this is subject to change depending on the number of entries)

                    2.5.3.3 – Fuel tank capacity is not limited

                    2.5.3.4 – B points system

 

2.6 – Meeting Rules 

          2.6.1 – Open setup

          2.6.2 – 1 fast repair per race

          2.6.3 – Drive through awarded at 20 incidents, and at every 10 incidents after that

          2.6.4 – Track usage is carried over from each session

          2.6.5 – Time of day is set for practice. The other sessions will have the time of day carried over from the previous session

          2.6.6 – Static sky and weather, both based on the ARA data packs and official series details

          2.6.7 – Each round format may be adjusted by the ARL admins

 

2.7 – Championship Rules 

          2.7.1 – 8 meetings

          2.7.2 – Each driver’s lowest scoring meeting is dropped from their season points total

          2.7.3 – Drop Scores only affect a drivers score not the teams score
