ARA Formula 3 VRS Super Series

Season 8 of the ARA Formula 3 VRS Super Series is launching on Friday the 16th of June! 9 months after SimRaceSweden’s Isak Arvidsson’s phenomenal 10 race winning streak, the points are reset for a new set of drivers to challenge for over £1000 worth of prizes across 4 championships

Schedule – The series moves away from its Saturday evening slot for the first time in its 2 year history, instead taking place on Fridays, alternating with the ASUS ARL Endurance Championship. That means more breaks with the 9 rounds taking place over the course of 13 weeks, allowing for more practice before each event. The calendar follows the official iRacing F3 schedule to help prepare drivers for every round, something that is assisted by our free Apex Racing Academy subscription given to every driver when they register

Broadcast – Just like season 7, every round of the series is broadcast by Apex Racing TV from their Esports Studio, the leading setup in iRacing coverage. Sam Fitzpatrick has covered several of the past seasons in the championship including season 7 and returns for season 8. The broadcast features SDK Gaming’s exceptional F1 style overlay, picture-in-picture coverage, professionally designed track guides and much more

Format – After a 10 minute qualifying, drivers are assigned one of 2 heats. The top drivers from each heat advance straight to the A final whilst the rest race the B final, with the top placed drivers once again advancing to the A final. This format means the midfield positions possess just as much importance as the podium, resulting in greater coverage of the field on the broadcast.

Last Season – Isak Arvidsson tied the record for most consecutive ARL wins last season when he beat out teammate and 2 time former champion Tobias Olsson to the top spot. SimRace Sweden excelled with their 3 drivers locking out the top 3 in the drivers championship ahead of their rivals Alkentech. Aaron Smith clinched his long awaited title in the pro ams, beating Fabio Grassetoo but just 706 points to 701 while Michael Griffin’s consistency earned him the amateur title. Over £900 pounds worth of SDK Gaming and Apex Racing Academy subscriptions along with trophies will once again be at stake for this season

Registration – Whether you’re looking to return to the series or aspiring to make your mark as a rookie, the series is open to all those with a D class road license to join. Check out the links below to do so!
