Hour long LMP1 & LMP2 races!

ARL Prototype Championship

LMP1 and LMP2 cars make their return to ARL on the 20th of May for season 4 of the ARL Prototype Championship! Another 9 one hour races are scheduled for the Audi R18, Porsche 919 and Dallara P217.

We return to the classic 1 hour, mandatory pitstop format for this season. Meetings are hosted on Friday evenings with races starting at 19:10 GMT. Each venue follows the ESS or IMSA Sportscar official series so you should have opportunities to practice for each track and setups will be available from various setup shops.

Each qualifying and race is broadcast on Apex Racing TV on YouTube. Drivers are also welcome to appear on the broadcast themselves with interviews being hosted post-race.

We are delighted to welcome back the Audi R18 and Porsche 919 LMP1 cars back into the series. These 875kg, 1200hp hybrid machines are a couple of the fastest sports cars of all time, mixing sophisticated power units with huge levels of aerodynamic downforce. The Dallara P2 meanwhile has become one of the most popular cars on the iRacing since its addition to the service with its 200mph speed capabilities and super handling characteristics.

Protocharge Simsports dominated the LMP1 category last season, locking out the top 3 positions in the championship with Alx Spetz ending his campaign as the victor. Owen Caryl meanwhile took a remarkable six wins from nine rounds to take the LMP2 Pro category. In the LMP2 Ams, Thomas Sorensen beat Jack Guyler in a closely fought LMP2 Am championship. The top 3 in each class this season will take a share of the SDK Gaming and Apex Racing Academy prize pool, worth £2140. Team champions in each car class will also get a portion of the prize pool, with the driver champions in each class getting their hands on a trophy!

There's plenty of racing in a series regardless of skill level. ARL attracts great talent, and racing with those drivers will make you better

Raced a couple of ARL seasons and they were by far the most professionally run leagues I've been a part of. The stream is entertaining with a great commentary team and it's good to watch back the day after the race. Admins do a cracking job keeping an impartial eye on any racing incidents

Rob WinterMazda Cup & GT Driver

Best league I have done so far in iRacing, very competitive racing from front to back. I would recommend Apex Racing League to anyone! Some of the best and cleanest driving I have witnessed in iRacing for a long time!
