The Wave Italy Apex Racing League GT Championship is back for a fifth season, starting on the 13th of June! 24 races, over the course of 12 meetings, will decide the champion in one of our most prestigious series. Each meeting features one 25 minute race, and a 40 minute reverse grid race. Every race is broadcast on Youtube by Apex Racing TV.
This series will be sponsored by Wave Italy who have offered some incredible prizes for the Championship Winners, including a choice of Wave Impetus Imola or Monza – Sim Pedals Pro and a half day of Professional Coaching at the Wave Italy Professional Training Center in Verona. The top drivers and teams from each championship will also receive Apex Racing Academy and SDK Gaming subscriptions for a total prize pool worth £4,450!!! Don’t forget about the trophies for the top 3 positions in the drivers championships!
The calendar features circuits from the IMSA Hagerty series, European Sprint series and iRacing special events, so there is always an official series to train at in the week before and set ups should be readily available. All drivers will have a title to fight for, with an amateur and teams championship to be decided along with the pro drivers championship.
Season 4 saw a titanic for the overall title, with Urano eSport’s Niclas Laubisch completing a great comeback to end up the champion, just ahead of Sven Neumann, Danny Lee and Mattia Fuglini. After several seasons of toiling, Jentsen Adriaenssens finally took his first title in the amateur category, ahead of Indy Autosport teammate Kevin Kittelmann and Team Lizard’s Steve Burke. CoRe SimRacing meanwhile made their mark in their first season in the championship with the overall teams title.
